Who we are
Vanity Nail Bar is a nail salon at Unit 17, The Moor Shopping Centre, Brierley Hill, DY5 3AH. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.
What information we collect
- Appointment requests: if you fill in the appointment form on our website, we collect your name, phone number, email address and the service you are interested in.
- Bookings through Fresha: online bookings are made through Fresha. Fresha shares your booking details with us, such as your name, contact details and the treatments you have booked. Fresha also handles your information under its own privacy policy.
- Calls, emails and messages: if you contact us by phone, email or social media, we keep the details you give us so we can reply.
- Information about your treatment: if you tell us about something that may affect your treatment, such as an allergy, we use it only to look after you during your appointment.
- Website analytics: if you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects information about how you use our website, such as the pages you visit, the device and browser you use, your approximate location and how you found us.
How we use your information
- To reply to your enquiries and arrange, manage and carry out your appointments. Our lawful basis is that this is necessary to provide the service you have asked for.
- To keep you safe during treatments when you have told us about an allergy or condition. Our lawful basis is your explicit consent.
- To understand how our website is used so we can improve it. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To keep records we are required to keep by law, such as financial records.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for automated decision-making.
Who we share it with
- Fresha, our online booking provider.
- Netlify, which hosts our website and receives appointment form submissions.
- Google, which provides Google Analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies.
- Professional advisers or authorities, where the law requires it.
Some of these providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, they use safeguards approved under UK data protection law.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, including any period we must keep records by law. Google Analytics data is kept in line with the retention settings in our Google Analytics account.
Cookies
Our website uses one necessary cookie to remember your cookie choices. Google Analytics cookies (named _ga and _ga_*) are only set if you choose to accept them. You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.
